Capital One Landing LaGuardia (LGA) Terminal B Review: Best Airport Lounge in New York?

Worth Coming to the Airport Early For: YES (this is my new favorite airport lounge in NYC. Honestly probably in the US in general…)

Better Than The Terminal? YES (Food and views are incredible. Although to note LGA terminal B itself is quite nice nowadays)

Introduction

I was heading for a quick trip down to DC and specifically made sure to fly American (terminal B at LGA – sorry Delta flyers) to check out this lounge. And it was well worth it. Honestly, I’d probably go out of my way when given the choice to fly out of LGA terminal B nowadays because they have some of the best credit card lounges on the market in a beautiful new(ish) Terminal B. I’m mostly referring to the Chase Sapphire Lounge and this lounge, although also an Amex lounge which is …fine).

Capital One Landings are a restaurant-style lounge offered by Capital One focused on shorter stays with high quality food (tapas – style plates). Their official partner is Jose Andres (the famous Spanish chef), so lots of the food items are Spanish (i.e pincho de tortilla, chilaquiles, etc). There’s another Capital One landing in DC (DCA / Reagan Airport) which I’ve reviewed previously and was very impressed by. However, that lounge is a much smaller space, while this LGA space is fairly massive at 12,500 feet with space for up to 180 people. It also feels huge because of the super high ceilings (it’s built into Terminal B itself).

I’m a big fan of this restaurant-lounge concept. It’s free (as long as you pay your annual fee), offers high-quality food instead of the buffet slop that was standard a few years ago (and honestly, in most places, still is the standard). Luckily in many US cities now, credit card companies are fighting as hard as they can for high-spending customers, which only benefits the consumer.

In this post, you’ll find:

Lounge Access Rules

The lounge is currently open every day, from 5am to 10pm, which basically covers every possible LGA departure.

Access to this lounge is straightforward: you need to have the Capital One Venture X card (or business equivalent) to enter the lounge.

Please note the Capital One Venture Card will NOT get you access, but you are able to purchase lounge access for $45 per visit.

Venture X card members get unlimited free access for themselves only as of February 1, 2026. Note in order to get a free guest, you need to spend $75k or more per year. While this generated a lot of negative blowback, it was honestly overdue. These lounges are getting extremely popular because of how nice they are (especially vs. Amex), and the previous guest policy was way too generous. This should help limit long term crowding issues that any nice lounge has faced… hopefully.

You can also buy a day pass for $95 (ouch).

Entrance to the Capital One Landing LGA

Finding this lounge is straightforward – it’s located in terminal B, towards the left of the fountain (you can’t miss it). It’s located directly on top of the elevated terminal bridge to gates 11 – 31.

Lounge Review and Amenities

First thing first – this lounge is absurdly nice. I’m not sure what deal Capital One had to cut with the Port Authority of New York to get this space, but it’s probably the best possible location of any airport lounge in the US. It’s located directly in the massive elevated airbridge to the B11-31 gates, which means floor-to-ceiling windows of the surrounding tarmac throughout the space. I visited on a very foggy morning, and it was still very nice.

Central Bar at front

The lounge is basically split into two parts: there’s the part that’s directly connected to the elevated bridge, which has its own central bar and tapas station.

Other side of the main bar

Here’s the seating section in the elevated bridge section:

You’ll notice that the decor and vibe of this lounge is very similar to the Capital One Landing at DCA. Just everything here is at LGA is much bigger, and better located.

You’ll find coffee and drinks stations like this throughout the lounge:

The second part of the lounge is even more impressive. This is the “outdoor” terrace. Note it’s not actually outdoors, but has a huge skylight and is one of the most physically stunning lounge spaces I’ve ever seen.

Main indoor terrace seating is beautiful

Seating here is assigned (i.e the host chooses your seat), but I’d definitely recommend requesting seating here if you can. The lounge was fairly empty when I visited at 8am on a Friday.

All the booze you could possibly want. None for me, it’s 8am

The hostess brought me to my table and gave me a water, and pointed me to the QR code on the table. Note every seat / table has its own QR code. You can either order food & drinks to be delivered to you, or you can grab tapas plates from either bar. I’d of course recommend doing both.

My assigned perch for today

Here’s the breakfast menu – a lot of the items were basically the same as what’s offered at DCA. I’m a huge fan of the small bites concept, because (a) it’s actually high quality and (b) I tend to overdo it at airport buffets because … free?

I grabbed some overnight oats to start from the bar:

Here were the items I ordered from the menu: Spanish tortilla and olive oil pancakes (both delicious). Note there’s no limit on how much you can eat so … go crazy.

These were really, really good
Lox bagel. I could have 10 of these

Here’s a sample of the QR code menu for the breakfast rotation; hot breakfast items and lots of drink options (alcohol is free, to note). It was 8am, so no drinks for me.

Incredible breakfast menu. Pincho de tortilla is great
Espresso martinis for breakfast? Unwise.
Sans alcohol

The bathrooms are located right in between the section between the two seating areas. All are single occupancy:

The bathrooms were nice and feature nice artwork. Not necessary but makes things feel ~high end~.

Nice bathroom, nice artwork

Conclusion

This lounge is incredible. Between the physical space (and lots of natural light), the views of the tarmac, and the quality of the food, this is my favorite lounge in any of the NYC airports, of which there are many good ones (next best is probably Capital One’s Lounge at JFK, review coming!).

I’d highly recommend carving out at least an hour ahead of your flight to check out this lounge. LGA has sneakily become one of the best lounge hotspots in the premium travel game.
