Air France Business Class Lounge Review: CDG Terminal 2E Hall L

Worth Coming to Airport Early For: YES.

Better Than The Terminal? YES.

Before heading back to NYC and trying out Air France business class, I made a visit to the Air France Business Class Lounge. There are actually three large Air France lounges at Charles De Gaulle that will serve US-bound flights from terminal 2E. Note that these are all relatively difficult to get between, so it’s pretty much luck of the draw in terms of what Hall your flight leaves from that day. Terminal K as of writing has yet to be renovated, so L or M are the better bets. Luckily, my flight was departing from Hall L today.

In terms of entrance policies, there are a few ways to get in:

  • Same-day ticket in Air France business or La Premiere
  • FlyingBlue Gold or Platinum, or SkyTeam Elite Plus

Finding the lounge is pretty straightforward. First, after security, head to your corresponding Hall. Was this KLM on purpose? ha.

Next, just follow signs for the Air France lounge by the L gates, right by duty free. There was a short line when we arrives but was pretty quick to get through.

Now, for the lounge itself. The lounge is mostly one huge room, with two food sections at either end. The lounge has a ton of natural light, although is pretty much sitting on top of the terminal, facing towards the landside of the airport. This means no airplane views, but still much better than being tucked underground somewhere!

The lounge was packed around noon when we arrived.

Food spread was pretty solid:

Lots of healthy and fresh options
The French do love their cheese
Nice coffee setup
Not Pictured: the three cups of chocolate mousse I had

In exploring the lounge a bit, there’s also a spa. Unfortunately, on the day I was traveling (a sunday) it was closed. If heard of these spas being pretty spotty in terms of availability, which is definitely a downside if you’re into that stuff. Luckily for me, I’m not much of a facial guy. I could go for a neck massage though.

Spa closed off during our visit
Some cool art / light in the hallways of the lounge

While the one big main room is where all the food stations are, there is some other seating in the hallways of the lounge:

All in all, the Air France lounge in terminal 2E Hall L is definitely worth visiting early, and much better than the terminal. They have great hot and cold food options and a great drink spread, with lots of comfortable seating options. I’d definitely come back if I had the chance!
